I appreciate the charm and authenticity of the venue, and the candle light and... cosy... layout makes for a very intimate performance.
But, as many have said, the seating is ridiculous for a feature-length show.
My Wife and I were sat in the pit, second row from the front, so we had a great view,
but we were so uncomfortable that we had to go home at the intermission.
The performance was also halted at one point because an elderly lady was injured in the upper gallery. It looked like someone behind her tripped, landed on her and threw her out of her seat and head-first in to the wooden barrier in front of her.
This made me wonder how many other injuries might have happened in this venue, and the people around us were discussing health and safety.
It's a charming place but it just doesn't seem fit for the public.
