- john Ashton Review added: 2018.10.27★ ★ ★ ★ ★I think this might be my ideal London pub in many ways. Small, but always with a good atmosphere. A few outside seats too. And it's really surreal when you have the cast of a Radio 4 drama talking behind you, while a gorgeous model poses in front of you as you sip a pint of Organic lager (the BBC and a modelling agency are in very close proximity). Food's good, and it's nice that it's contained solely upstairs - keeps the bar uncluttered. The beers are delicious. The decor has some real old London charm too - it could be called dingy by the uncultured, but in truth, it has a warmth to it, and one feels the history of the city oozing through the walls. I go as often as I can. And in the winter, sitting in the snug by the fire with a pint of bitter is a real treat. Enjoy!
