We went there just for "batata palha" - but ended up buying a few other things that totaled to £33. Just after we had already paid and were on our way out I saw he had COXINHAS to sell - I love them and buy them every chance I get. I immediately asked when it had been made and he replied: "Just now, in the morning" then when I asked to have one he said: "Would you like me to heat it up in the microwave for a few minutes, it's cold because we have to store it in the fridge like this" - I don't know how it's possible to fry something and put it in the fridge, but ok. I paid for it, he handed it to me and we headed out. As I took my first bite I noticed the taste wasn't what I was expecting to be, it tasted like "Acaraje". I thought, this is not right... I took a second bite in the hopes it would get better...and that's when I saw a shrimp in the middle of something that was supposed to have CHICKEN!!! I can't eat seafood!!!
I probably should have asked, but never would I have thought to confirm if a COXINHA had shrimp in it! This is not what coxinhas are! I don't mind him trying to add his personal touch to something! BUT MAKE SURE TO TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS ABOUT IT BEFORE THEY EAT IT!
