- Kris Saville Review added: 2018.05.14★ ★ ★ ★ ★I came across Wrate’s Editing Service whilst researching a number of companies who would be able to transform my children’s story into a published book. I recall shortlisting Wrate’s Editing Service and another larger company. After contacting the two companies it didn’t take long for me to make my decision. From our very first communication it was clear that Danielle showed an interest in my story, providing honest feedback and, probably most importantly, asking me lots of questions about what I wanted for the book; it was clear to me at that point that the service she provided would be bespoke and personal.
Danielle and her team were able to guide me through the whole process; and assisted me with: Structural editing, Copy editing, Proofreading, Cover design, Typesetting and Publishing. Danielle set out a clear time frame from the beginning, and these deadlines were all met, without the process feeling rushed. I was largely pleased with this, especially taking into consideration the fact we were working in different time zones, with different weekends (I currently live in the Middle East). Danielle was also able to adapt to specific requirements with my location in mind, and communication was excellent throughout the whole process.
Probably the most challenging aspect of my book was the typesetting and illustration layout that I had in mind. I was absolutely delighted with the way that Alexa was able to bring my vision to the page! Not only was she able to add everything I asked for but she also expanded on my ideas to give the pages an engaging layout - which children have said is exciting to look at and read.
The one aspect of the whole process that really stood out to me was the genuine enthusiasm that both Danielle and Alexa displayed throughout; it is clear that they enjoy what they do, and that’s probably why they are so good at it! I would recommend Wrate’s Editing Services to any aspiring author, and will certainly use them for my next book.
