Reviews about The Rivoli Bar
- John Hawkins Review added: 2018.09.26★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Whilst the Ritz dates back to 1906, the Rivoli bar is a much newer addition, having been converted in 2001 from a small row of shops that had previously inhabited the corner of the building. As it happens my first visit coincided with the bar's tenth anniversary. The decor is art deco, and tastefully done as you'd hope, although perhaps the fact it is only a decade old makes it feel a little less impressive than some of the other spaces in the hotel.
An announcement on their website suggests they have just (slightly) relaxed their dress code to coincide with this anniversary, which I personally think is a bit of a shame - there are so few places you can go in London nowadays where people really make an effort. The highlight in terms of the drinks was the Ritz 100 - vodka, Grand Marnier, peach liqueur, Champagne and gold leaf, served in a Champagne saucer. Cocktails were mostly £19, expensive even by London hotel standards, but there is something unique and quite special about this famous hotel which somehow made that seem justifiable.
