  I had an awful experience here.
  
  I went in as the lens had come out of my glasses. It’s a pretty simple job to put it back in seeing as people change lenses when prescriptions change.
  
  As I didn’t buy the glasses at optical express I signed a disclaimer. I understand that if something is to happen while they are putting the lens back in then of course that is my own risk, seeing as I didn’t buy the glasses from there.
  
  When my glasses came back the lens was not properly in (spoiler alert - the lens fell out 2 minutes after I left). But the worst part is that the bottom of my glasses frame had been melted and entirely ruined. The staff member told me that the technician had not used heat and had instead taken out the screw on the glasses, however, both me and my sister were sure that the melted section was not there before as we had been inspecting them a mere 20 minutes earlier and they were blemish free.
  
  My conclusion is that must have accidentily rested it on something hot or used heat (very badly) and lied to me.
  
  These were over £200 frames, now ruined. I really regret going in here. Specsavers, boots and vision express have all fixed my glasses for free before (including putting in lenses). It was a simple job. I can understand if they had snapped them while fixing them then the disclaimer would apply but they said that they had put the lens in by taking out the screw , so the melting is nothing to do with this and entirely to do with them being careless and resting it somewhere hot. It seems they used the disclaimer as a license to be extremely careless with my frames.
  
  Then the women was rude and said I had signed a disclaimer and she was doing me a favour..... no apology.
  
  I’m completley outraged by the poor quality service and carelessness with my frames.
