I believe that GOOD charity shops are great things . They raise money for deserving charities. They provide experience , references and volunteering opportunities for local residents and they should provide affordable second hand goods to those on limited incomes. Sadly, many charity shops are missing that third point and are marketing primarily to those with ample incomes , shopping for unique items . They are forgetting those in need.
MIND charity shops in Stoke Newington is one charity shop that continues to sell goods at affordable prices . They will not sell unethical goods and they have some of the most wonderful, diverse and friendly staff you could meet.
