Sparks & Shelley Review added: 2018.07.12
This museum developed from two old piano factories in Albert Street, Camden Town. The refurbishment in 2010 is beautifully done on three floors with a little cafe. My group went to hear a talk on the Hayes Industrial School for Jewish youngsters, but you can discover much more because the staff are so helpful. Did you know that there were no Jews in England until William the Conqueror? Or that 200 years later they were forced out of the country by Edward I and were not allowed back until Cromwell's time over 300 years later? Amazing how they have suffered rejection and trauma over hundreds of years, and yet survived and flourished.
