- James Smith Review added: 2018.07.13★ ★ ★ ★ ☆We went to The Gate on Saturday afternoon before heading out to a gig. We arrived early and were accommodated by the very friendly staff. Even though we were early their was still a good atmosphere. We ordered from the A la Carte menu. The starters were excellent and really left me wanting a bit more! For the main I ordered the Tortilla's and they were really tasty and pretty filling. My wife ordered aubergine which was OK (food envy). We still managed to fit in deserts which were amazing! Service was a little slow but I would rather that, than it being too quick. Would I go back? Yes.
