- Helen Royalteahouse Review added: 2017.12.12★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Coming from New York, my daughter and I were so excited to have Afternoon Tea in one of London’s best restaurants, The Game Bird. When we arrived, we were seated in a very dark area next to the Wine Closet Wall. My daughter and I are vegetarian so we asked for non meat finger sandwiches. The sandwiches were scant and odd. One of the items we didn’t know what was inside. The waiter had told us but we did not understand what it was. There was plenty of food but not at all up to par of what others tea rooms serve. After we left, I started getting weird chills throughout my body. I felt sick. That evening, my daughter and I were vomiting all night. We missed our tour scheduled for the next day, $200.00 US dollars wasted and we missed our reservation for tea time at Sketch. I waited a month to make that reservation and that was lost. Thank you Game Bird for ruining our holiday with food poisoning. We spent an entire day in bed.... I will NEVER go back.
