  Absolutely fantastic guys who did exactly what was needed at the best price I could find. I needed a flue liner installing in a typical Edwardian London house. I already had several quotes for a variety of suggested solutions. In fact Benjamin was the only person from all the quotes who analysed the problems correctly and came up with a practical solution. Marble Hill Fireplaces replaced an old style small Edwardian tiled fireplace last year with a bigger/smarter fireplace and mantlepiece into our existing fireplace. We only did this after confirming with a chimney sweep (recommended by Marble Hill) that our existing flue was suitable. Unfortunately, it was not. The previous renovation work and age had left us with a leaky flue, seeping gases into every room above when we lit the first fire. One company did a cctv survey (£250), failed to provide a report until prompted and then suggested a furanflex liner at £5000. In fact although this theoretically gives the greatest sectional area, they failed to address the restriction caused by fallen bricks/masonary at one point resulting in an effective diameter of only 6 inches instead of 11 so that would have been 5k wasted. I rang Embers based on other reviews here and the honest looking website and got a really prompt 1hr visit where everything was discussed and considered carefully with full explanations based on the current building regulations. I was expecting a huge quote based on the Mayfair office location but in fact it was one of the best at £1600 for the full installation without a limit on bashing holes in walls to get the liner down, and restoring the damage to a simple repainting job. The team of 3 turned up armed with dust sheets at 9am. By 1pm they were done, no dust left, liner and gather in, chimney pot back on and only one hole (which they replastered) in the chimney breast where the gather finished the liner and was cemented in. They even modified the opening to reduce the chance of smoke rolling out into the room and tested it all with a few firelighters and a smoke bomb. Brilliant job, no damage to the marble fireplace surround and tonight we had our first lovely, safe, smoke free fire in time for Christmas. There seem to be a lot of opportunists in this business but these guys are genuine, easy to talk to, great value and true professionals.

  I had previously wrote a review on Embers but somehow it was removed?
  I had a wood burner supplied and installed by Embers. Was very satisfied with the whole process from start to finish. After doing quite a bit of research I found that Embers prices were very competitive, and goods were supplied ( a charnwood c-five.) Very satisfied customer and would recommend to anyone. Couldn't be happier with the end result. Thank you!
