  I must say this gym is quite nice, but it's main fitness area (upstairs) is always cold, the layout is terrible. I'm 6ft 3in, I can't use the bloody cross trainer without hitting the ceiling!!
  
  The mens changing room is always in a state, it's absolutely disgusting! I must say though, Gym Group is cheaper and cleaner compared to East Ham Gym!
  
  The free weights area (downstairs) is small, not enough equipments, always have line up or find a corner to get on with your workout.

  I came in to sign up for membership which i was told by Aleks (the manager) was done incorrectly by the person who had signed me up a few weeks ago and now no longer works here. I had pending payments when money had already gone out of the account.
  
  Manager said the member of staff should not have signed me up via online website and she also did not give me full info about how extra payment was going to come out of my account due to upgrading. Manager did not apologise for error made by her staff and stood there asking for payment. She did not smile or have any customer service skills neither did she care I was signed up incorrectly.
  
  I called up the customer care team who were very helpful and resolved my issue. She asked what days and timing I would be using the gym facility and we came to the solution I did not require the upgrade. It was that simple.
  
  The leisure centre really needs to think about the staff there are hiring as there all seem incompetent at their job.

  I was a member a few years back and left it because it was unbearable. Bad smells everywhere; at the gym, the locals go unclean and the B.O. are repulsive. The equipment was not complete and left broken for many days then. The dry changing rooms; instead of using padlock, are token operated which add 25p each time (believe me; it adds up!) changing rooms smell bad too and are unclean at most times. The showers hardly ever work properly.
  Now, I only use the swimming pool and I dread to go back to a full membership as the pay as you go for the swim is £3.75(+0.25 locker) that’s high for what it is.
  All in all; I would say that place is BADLYmanaged ...it could be great if it was taken seriously as a business by competent people of the borough.
