  My mobile was stuck in a boot loop and I needed all data recovered. I had read good reviews on Data Clinic so decided to go with them, spoke to a couple of reps and decided to send my phone in to be looked at. I paid £114 for my phone to be looked at and analysed, and was told that after fixing the issue I would be charged for repair. I had to contact them by email and phone them days later just to get some sort of update as I had not heard anything for a handful of days. Unfortunately they were unable to solve the issue and emailed me to inform me and tell me they could dispose of my mobile for me. I said I would like to send my phone to another company to try to recover the data and would like my phone sent back to me, which it was. Everything seemed fine but when I received my phone, took it out of the box and turned it on, the factory reset had been done and all of my data had been wiped. So I had in effect paid £114 for all of my data to be wiped, and when I contacted Data Clinic asking for a partial refund, they stated that the factory reset was not done by them and they didn't know when this factory reset could have taken place and no compensation was even mentioned. Extremely disappointing service, I could understand that the phone was not repaired, but to have also lost all of my data, that included videos of my sister that had passed away, was unacceptable. Data Clinic is capable of completing some jobs, but I cannot stress strongly enough that if you have vital data you cannot afford to lose, think carefully about using Data Clinic.
