Reviews about Co-op Food - Hackney - Homerton High Street
- Luana G Review added: 2018.04.14★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Security guard is a joke. He probably thinks he owns the place and it feels like he doesn't want clients. He was rude to me once when I asked him an information and after I saw him being extremely rude to other clients.
- Ivor Fairclue Review added: 2018.02.03★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆The check-out staff are friendly but usually the security guard watches my every move inside the shop, choosing to stand glaring me at the end of every isle I happen to walk down, blatantly assuming I'm some kind of thief, which I find rather offensive and frankly hostile. This store is losing money because of this, because whenever it happens, I end up getting so sick of being eye-balled that I just walk out of the shop without purchasing anything and spend my money elsewhere, in store where I can actually do my shopping in peace without suffering the indignation of being stalked by a thug in a suit. I also doubt that I am the only customer who responds in this way to the rude implication that the customer is probably a thief as soon as they enter the store. If I was actually a thief, which I'm not, I could forgive this behaviour, particularly if I'd previously been seen on their CCTV cameras stealing something, then I could understand why the security guard would be watching me like a hawk but this is certainly not the case, so I find this kind of passive-aggressive harassment of honest customers to be completely unacceptable. Hence the 1-star review. Other than that, the shop does not have a particularly great selection of goods anyhow, although the fact that it's open until 11pm is a plus. Bottom line: Get your security guards to stop with their accusing behaviour if you wish to stop driving potential customers away from spending their hard-earned money in this branch.
