Ashish Madanlal Narang Review added: 2018.05.18
I bought a policy from them on 31/01/16 which was 5 star policy for three years.I got my car serviced and MOT on 02/02/16 as per Manufacturers guidelines. Now this year I got my car MOT on 21/01/17 where some part was found damaged which was covered in my policy. When I tried to call them regards the claim and it took multiple calls to reach the right person and 10 mins each time for someone to pick the phone and they kept asking more and more questions. In the the end my claim is declined stating that last year when I bought the policy my MOT was due to expire in few days but on page 17 point 11.5 of the terms and conditions says you should have an MOT > 28 days when you buy a policy. Now who reads 20 pages of fine print while buying a policy and secondly how it affects the current claim when the part was alright in last MOT and was found damaged at this time. What that also means is I paid them £350 for a policy that was never valid even for a single day!! When I tried complaining the person on phone very rudely gave an e mail ID and has said all you will in reply is a copy of the terms and conditions which you should have read...wow how helpful. My best advice is stay away from this fraud company they will find one or the other reason to decline your claim.........................................................................................................
FOLLOW UP OF CASE AS ON 14/02/17
Further to the previous post I got a reply from Click4warranty in two weeks stating that they will accept the claim and told that Autoprotect will get in touch.I had got the repairs done paying out of my pocket on 28/1/17. I rang autoprotect today again going through the ordeal of holding the phone for 15 mins and talked to lady who has said that they authorized £82 for the claim based on the talk with the garage on 25/1/17 before they declined the claim.I tried to tell them that the actual repairs costed £240 but they will not listen and say they will only pay £82 whatever may be the invoice. In addition to that they want to see invoices of the services done on the car whereas click4warranty website clearly states that a stamped service book is acceptable as proof of service, just another reason to decline your claim. Left again with a headache trying to explain things to them. Please stay well away from this fraud company.
