  If I could leave zero stars..... I would!!
  
  First time applying for one of these cards and had high hopes after reading certain reviews and things online.
  However..... I soon found this out to be the worst customer service based company I’ve dealt with!
  I needed a quick card for a fishing trip to Ireland on the ferry and didn’t feel 100% with the stennalines website saying a utility bill would be accepted, so I decided to get one of these.
  Paid my money for a fast track card, did everything asked of me.. went to my bank (Barclays) and asked them if they would referee my application as I have banked with them for 8 years and they first declined as i had not dealt with the lady before and after going back to work and printing off terms and conditions from citizen card website I basically proved that my bank can verify my identity as can my doctor etc as they both hold my “official records”
  
  The lady then agreed and I sent off my application with my photos signed and sealed!
  
  Citizen card then text me saying my referees number was wrong as it conects to a switch board.
  I went back to Barclays and asked for a direct number to my branch... I was given it and sent this over to verabot but the lady told me that NO bank will have a direct number like our landlines as they are massive company’s who require electronic direction for calls!
  
  Just had another text to tell me both numbers do not work!!
  It’s a bank for Christ sake!! You’d have to be a bloody good conman to make Barclays number a fraudulent means of contact!! This same number that can be easily googled and verified!
  If they stayed on the phone for slightly longer like every one else had to do then maybe they’d reach the branch and my referee!
  
  Emails from them are pretty much robot 1 button replies!
  Waste of time!! And now money!
  If you’ve got another means of referee then it might be ok but all my possible referees are self employed... my doctors need an appointment and to be frank a doctors is just a waste of time as they come be seeing someone who needs medical attention over a signature!
  
  Not good in my opinion!
  It’s like punching smoke! Waste of time!!
