- Roger McDonald Review added: 2018.11.19★ ★ ★ ★ ★Hidden at the top of the wonderful terraces is the Southern Brunel water tower right next door to the Crystal Palace museum. It is easy to miss as it is now no longer part of the impressive pair of towers that fed water to the many water features of years gone by in the park.They stood so tall on the ridge, at each end of the Crystal Palace, that they both could be seen for miles around. A true landmark of the time.
The Northern tower is some 1900 feet (580 metres) along the upper terrace and is sited just next to the TV tower mast. Pictures of the towers and more about Paxton's Crystal Palace can be seen in the Museum.
