- David Goldsmith Review added: 2018.11.26★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Well, this was not the first time for me (this related to April 12th 2018). I have even hosted an event there once. So I was pleased to see Aquavit live up to its good reputation. It is far from cheap, but you would not expect or even want that. The food is inventive and tasty, the service good, and the ambience nice. I went with a highly knowledgeable, charming, epicurean (half-a-)Swede, who knew his onions (yawn, cut the puckish sense of fun please), and had a really nice meal.

Once at the restaurant we learned that the owners and intents are different—this restaurant is geared towards someone that thinks loud music means you're having a good time. The food was quite good, as was the service, though neither were at the level of a top restaurant. The decor was also quite nice. We were accidentally billed for a bottle of wine we hadn't ordered, and overall I found the restaurant to be quite pricey—there were lots of add on items that dramatically increased the price without contributing to the overall experience in a meaningful way. I won't be back.
